There are large machines everywhere tied together like a manufacturing line. The
conveyer which runs through each of these machines does not go in a line however
and goes in every which way; up, down and all the compass directions. it looks
to be a confusing place but a place for adequate cover. you see flashes of light
off in the distance and percussion sounds all around. you can tell there is a
skirmish going on in one particular direction but cannot see it fully since your
gondola never rose above the machine landscape of this layer.

You hear echoes of time begin to penetrate your consciousness.
"you have six, initiate. Don't forget the mission!"
Like habit you pull out a small square photo you hold dear. You must have read
the words upon it thousands of times, yet you read it once more for solace.

~ I will be with you forever if only in your dreams. If dreams is what becomes
of me, then to you I wish good sleep.

You and your team members stand around a giant bulkhead on the ground. The
oldest of the group kneels. The man clearly has some nerosis as he twitches
uncontrollably even while attempting to open the bulkhead. It effortlessly opens
for him; an impossible task without the aid of the suits you all wear. One by
one each member climbs down into the hole. You're the last one in. You close the
hatch behind you and darkness consumes.

You open your eyes back to Halcyons PROD level. You notice your gondola has left
you standing there alone. Looking at your suits UI, you notice your battery
charge is full. As soon as you begin to walk, you trip over some scrap metal.
Cursing the ground you hear some clicking and beeping. Quickly turning your head
up, you see two Halcyon walking spider mechs. They must have been crawling over
the dead machines since they now stare down at you from atop them.
"small contingency. Show 'em what you got!"

(omitted: Using my abilities I send a blast into the ground infront of the mechs
causing the rubble to fly up into them. As they are disoriented attempt to hide
myself under some of the scrap metal so that I may watch there behavior.)

(completely omitted)

Laying face down on the grown you contrive your plan in an instant. But there's
something... Something you're missing. To use the suit did you need gestures?
You hadn't thought about it until now and honestly can't quite remember in the
second since you decided to act. It would be a good feature given the incoherent
meandering of your thoughts. Speaking of, you realize something else you hadn't
quite thought through. You planned on blasting the ground in front of them
but.... They're not on the ground. Quickly you get up and try to scramble behind
some scrap metal. Too slow... The two mechs began rapidly firing at you. They
plant a good many rounds on you before you make it behind a sheet of thin scrap
metal. Your armor it seems is the only reason you're alive as you imagine the
shearing temperature of the shots had they not been mitigated. Actually, your
concern is reinforced as the plasma rounds being fired at you begin melting the
sheet metal you hide behind.

(aside: If you don't say you stand up... Then you didn't stand up. Keep these
things in mind cause I can only imagine you rolling around on the ground the
whole time. This isnt d&d where you tell me what you want to do. If you keep
getting low scores, your situation will continue to worsen until you die.)

IMPRECATE TO ANNIHILATE Empty Zake:

Post  Narrator Sat May 05, 2012 4:45 pm

Sweat now starts to poor from my forehead, fogging up the face plate of my
suite, I know the metal behind me is melting at a rapid pace and there are only
seconds before I am exposed. My brain is overwhelmed from the rapid succession
of information and the confusing memories that consume me. My head begins to
pound as I scramble to get some semblance on the situation. Now the pain has
worsened as I drop down to one knee. Just as the pain reaches its peak my mind
goes blank for a moment, as if the world surrounding me was erased, the next
second it all comes flooding back into focus and it feels as if my mind is
blanketing over each nut and bolt on my suit.

I step out from the behind the small patch a sheet metal that’s left from the
assault. As the spider drone takes aim ready to blow another plasma beam at me
his body lifts from the ground suspended in midair. For the second it has left
it flails its legs about, reaching for the ground. Its metal body begins to
tremble and seize and in an instant the bolts that hold it together blow apart
all at once. The pieces that make up the machine dangle in mid air moments
before crashing to the floor.

Using its counter parts despair as an opportunity to end their foe, the other
machines launches its cutting beam at my feet. A quick tumble to my right frees
me from the beams path but at the same times places me flat on my back and
exposed to the next onslaught. I attempt to extend my mind to lift my second
opponent but as I begin an agonizing shot of pain fills my head letting me know
that I have over exerted my self in the previous attack. A plasma missile
explodes from the barrel of the drone and speeds towards me with increasing
momentum. A quick concentration on a small piece of shrapnel left over from the
first Spider allows me to launch it at the missile, intercepting it moments
before it makes contact. The Plasma off shoot still burns hot and I can hear the
tiny left over particles hit my suit and sizzle.

Using the smoke that fills the air I regain my footing and scoured my
surroundings for something I can use to defend myself. My eyes fix on a small
glowing orb, encased in a metal box, among the rubble of the first machine. I
conclude that this must be a power cell that animated it. I allow my feet to
bolt for the item, scooping it in one hand I drop into a slide intended to place
me just under my enemy. As I slide pass I launch the orb, using my mind to add a
bullet-like speed, into the underbelly of the spider. I roll to a stop and allow
my gaze to focus behind me as the spider comes about. I hold my breath for what
will come next. I see the spider’s cannon ready and focus on me. My body won’t
allow me to move fast enough to get out of its way; I am now helpless as I see
my final gambit has failed. Just as I assume the plasma missile was on the verge
of firing a loud “POP” rang out from inside the mechanical beast. Smoke starts
to steam from its casing as its body plummets onto its own legs. A minute or two
of silence follows before the body of my foe bursts into a million pieces and
rains down on the floor.

My Lungs finally are allowed to fill with air as sigh in relief. I slowly rise
to my feet and look about my surroundings with an uncertainty as to where to go
next.

IMPRECATE TO ANNIHILATE Empty 5

(aside: I'm having a little trouble visually understanding your movement but it's not that big of a deal. I feel like 2 minutes is an extremely long time to sit and wait while in an action scene. Perhaps it seemed or felt like two minutes? Especially since you are holding your breathe the whole time.)

Down an isle in the blocks of machines you stop your eyes on a cross roads one hundred meters off. A soldier runs across your view as another follows him while shooting backwards. He falls as he takes a pummel of plasma fire. He continues to crawl in the direction of his comrades, desperately scrambling for his life. A spider mech, like the ones you just ended, jumped into view pouncing on him. One of its legs stabbing through the soldiers neck. Not a second later, a large plasma burst rips the mech apart in a mess of light and sound. Two legs are all that is left of the machine. You look in the direction they are headed to see what fired that plasma cannon. Just peaking over the machines it hides behind, you see a turret of a fairly large human tank.

"adding nav marker to your HUD. I've calculated the closest EP4 in a machine block right... There"
Ops guides your eyes as you look in the direction of the nav marker. A mountain of metal protrudes up from the otherwise low lying machinescape.

(aside: btw, I don't know if I told you how high this shit is. It's basically 1 story high. So it's like playing on single story houses with ramps and connected walkways and shit. I'll try to find you a comparable image eventually. The machine block you're after is like a 3-4 story building.)

At that moment you hear a harrowing sound. A deep booming horn goes off just behind you. You quickly spin around and see a giant halcyon mech climbing over the machines to get to you.
"huh, that's new."
The operator says not to concerned like.
You are clearly outmatched by this new opponent and without hesitation begin sprinting towards the human squad. Climbing over metal heaps and leaping from machine top to machine top, you dodge as many stray shots as you can from the metal beast.
"It never made tanks before. halcyon must be evolving it's warfare to keep up with the fighting. I didn't know it was capable of that."
You hear Ops talking to you but it's hard to listen to him. By now you've made considerable distance on the tank. You burst out into the open area where the squad is currently and they immediately notice you.

One of the men has a safe enough position to turn his gun on you.
"who the fuck are you?"
Another man, occupied with his target interrupts.
"does it matter?"

(aside: I forgot to actually give you a destination last time so I gave you one this time. This is so you don't need me to move you. Your entries don't need to be confined to one location. Don't be reluctant to completely create the ground in front of you.)
